musical history

I started playing guitar when I was 13, but it took me a few years to get into a band.

In the late 80’s, early 90’s I was a founder member of Last Chance in Aberystwyth. You can hear something from us here.

Later on in the 90’s in Newcastle I co-founded Elvis Fontenot and The Sugar Bees, who went on to dizzy heights after I left (and who are still going strong)

Two or three short term musical projects came and went in the next few years until …

…having a young family took centre stage from the late 90’s to around 2006, when I started playing a lot of open-mic sessions around Staffordshire. I’ve continued to do this as much as I can and have made a great many musical friends along the way. I’d recommend open-mic nights to any aspiring musician. There’s no better way to get live experience fast.

In 2014 The Lost Remnants reunion was discussed, and we played live in 2015, and have now recorded new material in 2017.

Currently we have new recording with the Remnants scheduled for November 2017 at Woodworm Studios in Oxfordshire, and I have now also taken on guitar and vocal duties with Whispering Grass in Stoke.

This is combined with getting the solo acoustic business off the ground!
