I started playing guitar when I was 13, but it took me a few years to get into a band.
In the late 80’s, early 90’s I was a founder member of Last Chance in Aberystwyth.
Later on in the 90’s in Newcastle I co-founded Elvis Fontenot and The Sugar Bees, who went on to dizzy heights after I left (and who are still going strong…)
Two or three short term musical projects came and went in the next few years until …
…having a young family took centre stage from the late 90’s to around 2006, when I started playing a lot of open-mic sessions around Staffordshire. I’ve continued to do this as much as I can and have made a great many musical friends along the way. I’d recommend open-mic nights to any aspiring musician. There’s no better way to get live experience fast.
In 2014 a Lost Remnants reunion/formation was discussed, and we played live in 2015, and recorded new material in 2017 at Woodworm Studios in Oxfordshire. The first full album from Lost Remnants was released in November 2018. Our latest mini-album was released in February 2025. You can buy both, or stream them from the links here.
This is combined with getting the solo acoustic business back off the ground!
